Description:
GE experience required.
Locals are accepted, but the bill rate will reduce if within 50 miles.
CT technologist needed as soon as possible for both inpatient and outpatient settings.
The facility has one floor open, which occasionally conducts head CTs for falls.
Super sick patients will go to another hospital.
Must be IV certified or IV competent, as IV insertions are necessary.
Occasional CTA requested, but coronal CTA is not performed if a calcium score can be done on a GE scanner.
Facility has a brand new GE dual energy scanner.
Must be able to work independently, as there may be times when the technologist is alone.
License and certification in ARRT(CT) are necessary.
Graduate of an AMA-approved educational program in Radiologic Technology is required.
3-5 years of experience preferred.
Essential technical functions include following hospital protocol for exam routines and producing quality studies efficiently.
Competence in operating all equipment in the department or willingness to request training in specific areas is essential.
Responsibilities also include warming up the CT scanner, running QA, bringing up pressure injector, PACs units, and Meditech.
Must complete CT procedures effectively and efficiently, providing appropriate feedback to patients and preparing the room.
Ability to adjust and manipulate images to required specifications is expected.
Knowledge of scanners, Med Rad injectors, PACs, and related systems is necessary.
Select proper scanning levels based on the field and organ.
Ensure all scans are anatomically identified with the appropriate information.
Complete the administrative part of the procedure, including tech editing and cleaning the room.
Notify the coordinator or delegate of any equipment malfunctions.
Report wet reading findings to physicians and necessary departments.
Access prior exams for radiologists when necessary.
Maintain work areas, stock rooms, and request orders when needed.
Perform clerical tasks to maintain workflow and quality expectations.
