Program / Project Manager, Operations Manager
We are seeking a Project Manager to deliver smaller scale new build projects across the education and commercial sectors.
This role can suit an experienced Project Manager, or a strong Contract Administrator with proven New Build education experience who is ready to step into a Project Manager role with structured support.
This is a genuine career progression opportunity for someone who understands cost control, programme discipline and stakeholder management, and wants to lead projects end to end.
The OpportunityYou will lead projects ranging from $2 million to $10 million, taking responsibility for programme, commercial performance, safety, quality and client outcomes.
You will work closely with a Team Lead and site-based teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within margin, aligned to our structured delivery framework.
What This Role Looks LikeFull lifecycle project delivery from pre-construction through to handover.
Strong programme ownership with clear communication and no surprises.
Tight cost control, timely variations and accurate forecasting.
Leadership of Site Managers, Contract Administrators and Coordinators.
Proactive stakeholder engagement with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
Championing safety and quality standards across site teams.
Who This Would Suit Experienced Project Manager- 5+ years delivering New Build construction projects
- Demonstrated experience in education or similar institutional builds
- Strong commercial acumen and proven margin protection
- Solid New Build education project experience
- Exposure to full project lifecycle, not just cost management
- Experience mentoring site teams and coordinating consultants
- Confident leading meetings and managing client expectations
- Ready to transition into full accountability for delivery
We are open to developing the right person who has depth in education new build and the leadership capability to grow into a PM position.
- Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or similar
- White Card
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Current Driver Licence
Experience across platforms such as Procore, Jobpac, Bluebeam and Microsoft Projects will be well regarded.
