Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift)
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team at Melrose Wakefield Hospital. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of our facilities. You will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks including electrical repairs, plumbing, and minor carpentry work.
Responsibilities- Perform electrical repairs such as removal and replacement of switches, ballasts, motors, and motor controls.
- Conduct plumbing tasks, including drains, fixtures, rodding, and cleaning as assigned.
- Execute minor carpentry tasks such as the installation and repair of doors, shelving, and locks.
- Utilize CMMS work order system for preventive maintenance and facility upkeep.
- Ensure timely response to on-call duties, living within one hour of the hospital.
- Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.
- 3-5 years of commercial experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Experience and comfort with working the 3rd shift.
- Knowledge of boiler operations and building management system (BMS).
Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with CMMS work order system and preventive maintenance.
- Understanding of facilities and building maintenance including boiler maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair various maintenance issues.

Work EnvironmentYou will work in a 280,000 square foot hospital with 174 beds. The role requires adaptability to various facilities maintenance tasks in a healthcare setting.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
