Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the day‑to‑day accounting operations of the business, including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, billing, cash management, reconciliation, expense reporting, and monthly closes. Mortgage banking accounting experience is preferred but not required. We will train the right person who is proactive, accurate, detail‑oriented, and process‑driven.

• Manage daily accounting operations (payables, receivables, billing)
• Process payroll and ensure timely & accurate compensation reporting
• Monitor and track money in / money out
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and internal ledger accounts
• Manage vendor payments and invoices
• Maintain organized financial records and reporting files
• Support month‑end and quarter‑end close activities
• Assist in creating and maintaining accounting SOPs and process documentation
• Coordinate with internal departments for financial data integrity

• 3+ years of accounting experience required
• Mortgage banking accounting experience preferred
• Experience with AP/AR, payroll processing, and general ledger management
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets
• Highly detail‑oriented and organized
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and follow‑through skills
