We're looking for an entry level motivated, detail-oriented AP/AR Specialist to join our finance team. You'll be a key player in keeping our financial operations running smoothly. We're growing and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us. This role reports directly to the Director of Finance.
What You'll Do Accounts Payable- Match purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents to ensure accuracy
- Code invoices to appropriate cost centers and general ledger accounts.
- Verify invoice approvals and process invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Prepare vendor payments including checks, ACH transactions, and wire transfers as needed.
- Reconcile vendor statements and investigate payment discrepancies.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoice status, payment schedules, and account balances.
- Collaborate with internal teams (logistics/sales/marketing) to resolve invoice and purchase order discrepancies.
- Apply daily payments (for specific customer accounts only)
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment discrepancies or deductions.
- Organize and file, documentation/digital records
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or accounts payable/receivable experience preferred
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
