Sr. Staff Accountant, Operations

We are working with an established medical device manufacturing company to hire an Accountant into a hands-on, operational role. This is a broad position that gives you real exposure to the day-to-day running of the accounting function rather than a narrow slice of it.

You would report to a Senior Accounting Manager and work closely with an AP/AR Specialist, so it is a small, collaborative team where your work has visible impact.

• Supporting month-end close and preparing complex journal entries with clean supporting documentation
• Account reconciliations, including corporate credit cards and related accounts
• Processing vendor payments and making sure expenses are classified accurately
• Monitoring cash activity and customer accounts
• Maintaining prepaid expense and fixed asset schedules, including depreciation
• Preparing and analyzing monthly sales and commission reports
• Investigating discrepancies and variances, and supporting internal and external audits
• Spotting process improvements that tighten controls and improve efficiency

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (required)
• At least three years of accounting experience, ideally a well-rounded background spanning general ledger, journal entries, account reconciliations and invoicing (preferred)
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting
• Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills
• Someone organized, detail-focused and comfortable juggling several priorities at once
