Key Functions- Track the project scope by line items as they relate to the job phases and schedule. Identify costs slippage, overruns, potential overruns, savings opportunities, and report these to the Project Manager.
- Manage T&M, MURK, and other extra work deliverables.
- Support the project team in the preparation and review of change orders, back charges, and cost transfers.
- Review and verify craft labor timesheets from the Foreman.
- Code and approve invoices with Accounts Payable and Contract Administration.
- Effectively manage relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
- Communicate and work closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent and Foreman to ensure proactive cost management.
- Responsible for coordinating with Project Manager and Contract Administrator to prepare monthly pencil requisitions for client review as well as all final requisitions.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reporting.
- 1+ years of relevant experience, ideally in civil construction.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering preferred.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.
- Display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner.
- Ability to identify problems; determine accuracy and relevance of information; use sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and make recommendations.
- Effective communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills, and a strong work ethic.
Compensation range for this role is 65-85k.
