Canon U.S.A. seeks an Instructional Designer Specialist to create engaging training for manufacturing and imaging solutions teams. You will analyze learning needs, design curricula, and develop eLearning, virtual, and in-person training that improves product knowledge, safety, and operational performance. Partnering with engineers, product managers, and operations leaders, you will translate complex technical content into clear, user-friendly learning. You will leverage Canon's culture of innovation and Kyosei philosophy to support employee growth while aligning programs with business goals and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Analyze learning needs for manufacturing and imaging solutions teams to identify performance gaps and training priorities.
- Design and develop curricula, e
- Learning modules, virtual sessions, and instructor-led training aligned to business and quality goals.
- Translate complex technical and product information into clear, engaging learning content and job aids.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and operations leaders to ensure technical accuracy and relevance of training.
- Implement and administer training through an LMS, ensuring proper tracking, reporting, and learner access.
- Develop assessments and evaluations to measure learning outcomes and impact on operational performance.
- Continuously improve training content using learner feedback, data, and industry best practices in instructional design.
- Ensure training materials support safety, compliance, and Canon's Kyosei philosophy of collaboration and social responsibility.
