HC Solutions Group is partnering with a small, and growing consulting engineering firm on Long Island to identify a Structural Engineer. This is a permanent, full‑time opportunity with a firm known for delivering practical, technically sound solutions across civil, structural, and geotechnical projects.

The Structural Engineer will play a key role in the design and analysis of structural systems supporting both residential and commercial developments. This role is ideal for an engineer who has a strong foundation in structural design and is looking to work in a hands‑on environment where projects move from concept through permitting and construction.

Our client is a full‑service engineering firm based on Long Island specializing in civil, structural, and geotechnical design. The firm supports projects from initial concept through permitting and construction, offering services such as foundation design, retaining walls, stormwater management, and construction support.

They work with both private and municipal clients across residential and commercial sectors, providing a high level of service and technical expertise throughout all phases of a project.

• Perform structural design and analysis for residential and commercial building projects
• Design foundations, retaining walls, and structural support systems
• Prepare structural calculations, plans, and construction documents
• Support geotechnical and civil coordination for integrated site and structural solutions
• Participate in site investigations and evaluate subsurface conditions as they relate to structural design
• Assist with permitting documentation and regulatory coordination
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and project stakeholders
• Support construction administration including submittal reviews, RFIs, and site visits
• Contribute to practical, efficient, and constructible design solutions

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Strong foundation in structural engineering
• Experience in structural design for residential, commercial, or site‑related projects
• Knowledge of foundation design, retaining structures, and structural systems
• Familiarity with geotechnical considerations and site conditions is a plus
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software
• Strong understanding of applicable codes and standards
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast‑paced consulting environment
