Overview
Air Techniques, Inc. is a dental products company headquartered in New York. As an Electrical Engineer in the Engineering department, you will play a key role in designing, developing, testing, and industrializing innovative electronic systems used in modern dental devices. You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams - including mechanical design, quality, product management and production - to bring reliable, safe, and regulatory‑compliant medical devices to market.
EssentialFunctions And Responsibilities
- Mid-level role with responsibilities for design, development, and analysis of electronic systems for utility room products.
- Performs engineering design evaluations.
- Processes Engineering Change Request.
- Maintains and updates firmware for the products.
- Recommends and performs alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
- Create and maintain work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct testing and validation of new and existing designs and analyze post-test data.
- Create design documentation, including drawing, specifications, layouts, test reports and diagrams.
- Able to work independently according to project requirements and take responsibility for projects and results.
- 3-5 years of experience in analog/digital circuit design and microcontroller programming.
- Experience with embedded firmware in C, C++ as well as object-oriented programming.
- Experience with PCB design software (Pulsonix, Orcad or similar).
- Experience designing regulated products (UL, CE/ISO, FDA) desirable.
- Experience in EMI/EMC PCB design and testing desirable.
- Strong attention to detail

BS or BE in Electrical Engineering or highly related field
