About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting innovative product development initiatives. This is a high-impact role where you will lead mechanical design efforts from concept through manufacturing, while mentoring junior engineers and influencing engineering best practices. This is a growth-driven position driven by an expanding project pipeline, offering strong long-term advancement potential in a progressive, employee-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead the design, analysis, and development of mechanical systems and components from concept through production
+ Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using Solid Works
+ Perform and interpret FEA and FMEA/DFMEA to improve design robustness
+ Design for injection molded plastics, sheet metal, and electro-mechanical packaging
+ Develop and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, and ECOs
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and document control teams
+ Develop and execute testing and validation plans to ensure product performance, safety, and reliability
+ Review manufacturing processes to ensure proper fabrication, assembly, and installation
+ Identify design improvements and optimization opportunities for existing products
+ Research new technologies and recommend process or tool improvements
+ Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on projects
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
+ 5+ years of mechanical design experience
+ Proficiency in Solid Works (design and analysis)
+ Strong experience with:
+ Injection molded plastics
+ Sheet metal design
+ GD&T
+ Electro-mechanical packaging
+
Experience with FEA and DFMEA methodologies
+ Background in high-volume manufacturing and assembly processes
Preferred Qualifications
+
Experience with PCB layout and electronics packaging
+ Knowledge of product lifecycle and new product development
+ Familiarity with design validation and regulatory testing
+ Experience designing consumer products or electro-mechanical devices
+ Strong technical documentation and reporting skills
