Mechanical or Environmental Engineer

Role Description

Arcadis is seeking a detail oriented, well organized, dependable entry‑level Mechanical or Environmental Engineer to join our Melville, NY office. This position includes working as part of the engineering team to support environmental engineering services for local clients, focusing primarily on the design and operational support of environmental remediation systems for soil and groundwater. Typical assignments include design support, field data gathering, collecting air and water samples, and report writing.

Our services encompass a range of responsibilities aimed at engineering design and optimization support for treatment systems. You will provide program support for a diverse portfolio of projects for the US Federal Government and industrial clients.

• Understanding and following written work plans/engineering design drawings
• Site inspections and remedial system operations and maintenance activities
• Oversight of subcontractors

• Data management (compilation, manipulation, evaluation, and presentation of data) and data interpretation including calculations
• Writing and preparation of reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda
• Coordination with project managers and senior engineering staff

• BS in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering field

• EIT Certification

Actual salaries will vary based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
