Financial Advisor / Life Insurance Agent – Wealth Management | $75K–$110K | Melville, NY (On-Site)
The Horizon Group is seeking an experienced Life Insurance Agent or Financial Planner to join our client’s growing wealth management team in Melville, NY.

This role is ideal for a client-focused advisor who wants to service and grow an existing book of high-value clients, collaborate with senior advisors, and focus on delivering thoughtful, comprehensive financial guidance.

- Job Title: Financial Advisor / Life Insurance Agent
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Compensation: $75,000 – $110,000 base + bonus
- Manage and service an established book of affluent clients, ensuring financial plans evolve with life changes and market conditions
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, including:
- Retirement planning and projections
- Risk management and insurance planning
- Develop and implement customized financial plans using firm-supported tools and resources
- Collaborate closely with senior advisors on complex planning cases
- Stay current on market trends, regulatory updates, and industry best practices
- Participate in supported business development efforts to expand the firm’s client base
- 3+ years of experience as a Financial Advisor, Financial Planner, or Life Insurance Agent (wealth management preferred)
- Active FINRA Series 6 or 7 and Series 66 (or equivalent)
- Active Life & Health Insurance license required
- Proficiency with financial planning tools (e.g., eMoney, Money Guide Pro ) and CRM systems
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with high-net-worth clients
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (advanced credentials a plus)
- Commitment to ethical standards and a client-first philosophy
- Immediate access to a large, established book of business
