- Lead the month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including the preparation of advanced journal entries, expense accruals, and comprehensive flux analysis.
- Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy across multi‑currency and multi‑entity operations.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet) in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Oversee domestic and international indirect tax compliance, including the filing of regional returns across several jurisdictions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and manage the preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
- Ensure all financial activities remain strictly compliant with evolving regulatory standards and internal controls.
- Conduct granular cost accounting by benchmarking actual expenditures against forecast budgets, specifically focusing on inventory, logistics, and supply chain costs.
- Analyze labor and process variances to identify opportunities for profit improvement and cost reduction.
- Partner with the Assistant Controller to manage company borrowing needs and investment funds.
- Act as a "Super User" for our Tier‑1 ERP system (Oracle preferred), driving automation and streamlining accounting workflows.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff accountants and accounts receivable/payable analysts.
