Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join a rapidly growing and highly acquisitive company in the healthcare industry and to have a hand in shaping the finance department as it is being built, while working closely with the agency president and controller, division presidents and other senior executives. This position is responsible for providing accounting support and financial analysis relevant to the strategic planning of the company, as well as delivering ad-hoc analysis projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Review and research accounting transactions
- Classify bank transactions, expenses and other items
- Responsible for accounting month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial close
- Help create and prepare weekly and monthly management reports analyzing trends
- Assist in the preparation of the annual financial plan and budgeting process, including the development of the annual operating budget, workforce planning, and capital budget
- Developing and maintaining automated reporting/forecasting tools
- Create ad-hoc analysis in support of strategic decision making
- Perform analysis to fulfill due diligence requests from potential equity and debt
- Final review of weekly Accounts Payable check runs. Ensure an accurate and timely AP closing process.
- Support the Controller with special/ad hoc projects and workflow process improvements.
- Confirm financial status by monitoring expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; preparing special reports.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, Masters Degree preferred
- Advanced skills with Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Must have extensive experience posting journal entries, accounting support for month-end financials
- Experience in a fast-paced environment; healthcare or technology field preferred
