General Summary/Objective:

In addition to supporting the general functions of the Finance Department, your day-to-day responsibilities will include overall management of finances for a variety of interesting clinical trials, while acting as liaison between clinical trial sponsors and research sites.

Duties:

As Research Billing Analyst you will report to the Supervisor, Senior Research Billing Analyst and will perform the following:

Review and approve sponsor research budget using critical thinking skills to ensure accuracy and consistency with budget details in BRANY’s proprietary software application

Generate monthly invoices to study sponsors based upon research activity entered by external research sites

Manage high-volume collections by conducting consistent follow-up on past due invoices through email, phone, and other communication methods

Compare payments received from study sponsors with internal records, and process payments to external research sites on a timely basis

Utilize strong analytical and investigative skills to reconcile study data and maintain accurate financial records

Upon completion of a study, perform a final financial reconciliation of study activities

Participate in other departmental projects as necessary

Education required:

Bachelor’s degree in business (Finance or Accounting preferred) from an accredited university.

Experience

Required:

Minimum three years of experience working in a Finance/Accounting Department.

Qualifications:

Applicant should be a detail-oriented and capable problem solver, with the ability to utilize analytical skills to identify errors and inconsistencies. Should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and excellent organizational skills. Must be able to multi-task and work as part of a team. Applicant must be able to learn proprietary software quickly, be familiar with Microsoft Word, and possess strong Microsoft Excel skills.
