About The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to support and grow its retirement plan business.
This role is ideal for a relationship-focused financial professional who enjoys advising plan sponsors, educating participants, and helping businesses maximize the value of their retirement programs. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for clients while partnering with advisors, recordkeepers, TPAs, and other financial professionals to deliver exceptional service and identify new business opportunities.
What You'll Do Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for retirement plan clients
- Build long-term relationships with plan sponsors and deliver exceptional client service
- Resolve client questions and coordinate with advisors, TPAs, recordkeepers, payroll providers, and custodians
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction and ongoing account retention
Plan Implementation & Participant Support
- Coordinate new retirement plan implementations and plan conversions
- Manage onboarding timelines, documentation, and investment setup
- Assist with Investment Policy Statements (IPS) and investment lineups
- Conduct onboarding meetings with plan sponsors and stakeholders
- Lead participant education meetings and enrollment campaigns to improve engagement and participation
Business Development
- Identify opportunities to grow existing retirement plan relationships
- Generate new business through referrals and networking
- Build relationships with CPAs, attorneys, payroll providers, and business owners
- Assist with proposals, presentations, and finalist meetings
- Support marketing initiatives and maintain an active CRM pipeline
Wealth Management Referrals
- Identify participants who may benefit from financial planning services
- Schedule discovery meetings and generate qualified referral opportunities
- Help expand assets under management through consultative relationship building
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in retirement plan consulting, retirement services, DCIO, or institutional sales
- Series 65 license (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong knowledge of:
- 401(k) and 403(b) retirement plans
- Fiduciary standards
- Investment analysis
- Experience presenting to clients, conducting participant education, and managing long-term relationships
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously
- $95,000–$105,000+ Base Salary (DOE)
