CFO​/Controller

CBIZ Talent Solutions is seeking a CFO for a growing law firm on Long Island.

This onsite role will lead the firm’s financial operations, strategy, and reporting, partnering closely with leadership to drive performance and efficiency.

• Lead Finance and oversee all firm financial operations and staff
• Drive financial strategy, planning, reporting, and analysis
• Identify cost savings, process improvements, and ensure compliance
• Oversee HR-related financial functions, compensation, and benefits
• Manage business insurance and risk programs
• Oversee billing, bookkeeping, cash management, and IOLA accounts
• Review financial statements, dashboards, and firm performance metrics
• Oversee collections, receivables, payroll, and pension administration
• Partner with external accountants on tax planning and compliance

• Prior CFO or senior financial leadership experience within a law firm required
• Strong knowledge of legal billing systems and law firm financial operations
• Experience managing multiple direct reports (3 direct reports in this role)
• Hands-on leader with ability to balance strategic and day-to-day responsibilities
• Strong analytical, reporting, and process improvement skills

Salary: $180,000–$200,000, depending on experience
