Job DetailsCatholic Health is seeking a high‑caliber Director of System Strategy & Market Intelligence to architect the long‑term growth of our integrated health system. This is a technical leadership role designed for a “strategist‑analyst” who has mastered the art of extracting, scrubbing, and synthesizing multi‑source data into actionable system‑wide initiatives.
Unlike a traditional planning role, this position requires a candidate who has moved beyond practice‑level management to oversee entire hospital systems
. You will lead the full strategic planning cycle, utilizing deep‑divе market analytics and competitor intelligence to guide executive decision‑making across our six hospitals and physician network.
System‑Wide Strategic Oversight
- Corporate Initiatives:
Direct and manage high‑profile corporate planning initiatives that impact the entire Catholic Health system. - Service Line Optimization:
Partner with executive leaders to define clinical program growth, diversification, and divestment across the health system. - Strategic Cycle Management:
Facilitate the annual strategic planning cycle, redefining imperatives and monitoring metrics via an executive dashboard. - Risk Mitigation:
Develop detailed milestone plans and assess risk mitigation strategies for all large‑scale corporate initiatives.
Advanced Data Analytics & Market Intelligence
- Data Synthesis:
Take full ownership of pulling, scrubbing, and analyzing data from multiple sources to perform market research and environmental assessments. - Feasibility & Positioning:
Establish market and analytical feasibility assessments for emerging partnerships and new strategic opportunities. - Competitor Intel:
Maintain a constant pulse on regional competitor initiatives, assessing Catholic Health’s service adequacy and accessibility relative to the market. - Executive Presentation:
Synthesize complex data findings into persuasive, concise presentations for the Board and Executive Leadership.
Collaborative Leadership
- Liaison Functions:
Work with business development and financial planning teams to provide the analytics and insights necessary to optimize key initiative implementations. - Policy Monitoring:
Stay ahead of legislative, payer, and industry changes, anticipating how market shifts will impact system‑wide strategy.
- Master’s Degree
Required:
MHA, MBA, or related field. Healthcare consulting experience is highly preferred. - System‑Level Expertise:
Minimum of 7–10 years of increasing responsibility within large healthcare systems or top‑tier healthcare consultancies. - Proven Impact:
Demonstrated success in leading high‑stakes corporate initiatives at the system level (not limited to individual practices or single‑office environments).
- Data Mastery:
Proven ability to manage and “scrub” large datasets; expert‑level proficiency in strategic planning tools, RMIS, or related health‑analytics platforms. - Project Management:
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Project Manager; ability to build agile processes from the ground up.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
