Computer Operator – Melville, NY

• Monitoring system schedules to ensure all processes meet deadlines for completion
• Respond to network and system monitoring alerts
• Document system issues accurately
• Escalate issues to appropriate support staff as per guidelines
• Oversee third‑party vendor maintenance while performing work in the Data Center
• Participate in shift turnover process at the beginning and end of each shift
• Record daily turnover log for submission to Data Center Management
• Follow process and procedures, including documentation and turnover to next shift
• Monitor email, alerting tools and respond/report/escalate per SLAs

• Knowledge of server hardware
• Team player as well as self‑starter with minimal direction
• Ability to handle multiple issues with a professional attitude
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Microsoft Word and Excel competence
• Experience with system monitoring tools
• Familiar with Linux, Windows 2008, VMware and AS400 operating systems

Pay Rate: $30.00/Hour.
