Description:

The Computer/Printer Technician is a part-time, remote/on-site role based in Melville, NY. This role diagnoses, repairs, and maintains desktop computers, printers, and related office technology equipment. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting hardware and software, installing and configuring devices, responding to service requests, and documenting completed work. The technician will work directly with customers to resolve technical issues, clearly explain solutions, and recommend preventive maintenance.

The role may also involve occasional on-site visits within the service area and collaboration with the wider support team to ensure timely and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Strong Computer/Printer Support skills, including maintenance, repair, and configuration of computers and copiers.
• Hands-on experience with Printers and Desktop Computers, including hardware installation and basic networking.
• Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical customers and provide excellent customer service.
• Basic understanding of office networking environments and common operating systems (e.g., Windows).
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple service calls.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for on-site service visits, as needed.
• Previous experience in computer or printer repair, or relevant technical certification, is preferred.
