Naot, a globally recognized comfort footwear brand, is seeking a highly organized, hands‑on Controller / Comptroller to lead accounting operations, manage payroll and HR administration, and supervise daily bookkeeping functions.
This leadership role manages a team of five and works closely with executive leadership and international counterparts to ensure financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and alignment across global operations. The ideal candidate is detail‑driven, systems‑savvy, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced wholesale, inventory‑based business.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management- Directly manage and mentor a team of 5 across accounting, bookkeeping, and HR support functions
- Establish clear processes, accountability standards, and performance expectations
- Foster a collaborative and professional team environment
- Oversee full‑cycle accounting including A/R, A/P, general ledger, and bookkeeping
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Prepare accurate financial statements and internal management reports
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial procedures
- Coordinate with external CPA firm for tax filings and annual reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Utilize ERP systems to support financial reporting and operational accuracy (Net Suite experience preferred)
- Ensure strong financial data integrity across accounting, inventory, and sales processes
- Support inventory accounting and margin analysis in a wholesale environment
- Develop reporting tools to enhance visibility and decision‑making
- Contribute to process improvements that increase scalability and operational discipline
- Oversee payroll processing and benefits administration
- Manage HR documentation, compliance, and employee recordkeeping
- Support onboarding and workforce planning
- Collaborate with international teams to ensure financial alignment and reporting consistency
- Coordinate cross‑border financial reporting and operational updates
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with team leadership
- Strong background in full‑cycle accounting and bookkeeping
- Experience managing payroll and HR administration
- Proficiency in ERP systems required (Net Suite experience a plus)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in wholesale, inventory‑based, or consumer goods business preferred
- High level of integrity, discretion, and accountability
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment
