Job Summary
The Deburring Operator is responsible for finishing machined, molded, or cast parts by removing burrs, sharp edges, flashes, and surface imperfections. Using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery, the operator ensures all finished parts meet precise engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Edge Finishing & Cleaning:
Safely remove burrs, sharp edges, scale, and excess material from metal or plastic components using hand tools (files, scrapers, deburring knives) and power tools (grinders, rotary tools, sanders). - Equipment Operation:
Set up and operate automated or semi-automated deburring equipment, such as tumbling barrels, vibratory finishers, wire wheels, or belt sanders. - Blueprint Reading & Inspection:
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine required surface finishes and edge radii. - Quality Control:
Perform visual and tactile inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators) to ensure parts meet client specifications and tight tolerances.
salary: $47,000 - $61,000 per year

Complete daily production logs, inspection sheets, and scrap reports accurately.
