2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic

We are hiring a Night Shift Mechanic to join an industry-leading manufacturing facility in Nassau County, NY.

Salary: $52,000 - $66,000 per year.

Shift: Second.

Work hours:

5 PM - 1:30 AM.

Education:

High School.

• Diagnostics & Repair: Observe equipment in operation to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, identify root causes, and repair or replace defective components.
• Precision Maintenance: Disassemble machinery, inspect parts for wear and defects, and adjust/align mechanical systems using micrometers, calipers, multimeters, RPM gauges, and straightedges.
• Electrical & PLC Troubleshooting: Use electrical schematics, wire lists, and I/O documentation to troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems and PLCs.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled PM tasks, including lubricating, cleaning, adjusting, and replacing components to maintain optimal equipment runtime.
• Post-Repair Testing: Reassemble, test, and power up equipment after repairs to verify full performance according to specs.
• Shop Upkeep: Keep work areas clean and safe, manage parts inventory, and follow proper material recycling and disposal protocols.
