Analytical Lab Analyst - 2nd Shift

Description

The Analytical Lab Analyst I is responsible for performing fundamental analysis, evaluation, and release of raw materials. All analyses must be conducted in accordance with the approved analytical test methods before materials are shipped or used in manufacturing processes.

• Utilize instruments including UV/Vis spectrophotometer, FTIR, Karl Fischer titrator, pH meter, viscometer, colorimeter, densitometer, refractometer, titrations and other wet chemistry techniques.
• Conduct OOS lab investigations.
• Inform management of critical issues.
• Suggest opportunities for improvement.

• Degree in Science, preferably B.S./M.S. in Chemistry or Biochemistry, or equivalent experience.
• Hands‑on experience with laboratory instruments: UV/Vis spectrophotometers, FTIR, Karl Fischer titrators, pH meters, viscometers, colorimeters, densitometers, refractometers, titrations, and other wet chemistry techniques. Ability to define all sensory product attributes such as color, odor, and appearance evaluation.
• Solid understanding and adherence to safe laboratory practices.
• Knowledge of GMP, GDP, and Good Lab Practices.
• Follow good documentation practices and accurately document analytical tests in lab notebooks in a timely manner.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with cosmetic ingredients and manufacturing processes is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP systems is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $22.75 to $37.00, depending on experience, skills, education, and budget. The hourly range may vary by geographic location.
