Responsibilities
- Responsible for the planning, implementation and supervision of procedures and operations of Quality Control and Systems.
- Supervise key functions of quality control operations for all materials in the distribution center, inbound and outbound inventory including frames, cases, POP, and packaging.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording, tracking, and reporting of all quality reviews, analysis, and transactions.
- Monitor workflow and procedures for assigned areas.
- Implement and manage quality control procedures for inspection and compliance with product specifications, including visual quality standards, technical tolerances, damage or defect identification, accuracy of vendor documentation, inbound packaging, labeling, and carton marks.
- Plan and execute QC inspection schedules in line with inbound freight, including allocation of receipts for inspection, vendor documentation review for compliance, and timely inspection and return to inventory.
- Ensure daily system updates on all transactions.
- Monitor and report weekly compliance issues such as manufacturing quality, vendor documentation discrepancies, receiving discrepancies, damages, inbound packaging, ticketing and labeling, system holds, QC blocks, and proposed resolutions.
- Manage and report vendor-related issues to document non‑compliance, propose and close corrective actions, determine vendor chargebacks, return to vendor for repair, and maintain vendor scorecards.
- Supervise production teams to ensure quality and packaging standards are checked during pick, VAS, and outbound shipping, addressing issues promptly.
- Oversee quality inspections during the returns process to ensure goods posted back into inventory are compliant and meet standards.
- Inspect and send frames for repair or rework according to product standard and change requirements.
- Review quality concerns with leadership and recommend resolutions to routine or complex issues; communicate with factory sources, coordinate returns, and track implementations.
- Work closely with other departments—supply chain, distribution center, and sales—to address and track issues for timely resolution and system updates.
- Supervise directly or through subordinates all activities associated with quality control procedures and compliance.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with key personnel and communicate with internal and external clients as needed.
- Manage team members including Assistant Supervisors, Lead Clerks, Clerks, and temporary personnel.
- Recommend annual objectives and profit plans.
- Monitor hours worked, provide coaching and performance reviews for team members and temporary personnel.
- Supervise team members’ attendance records and schedules to ensure the department is properly staffed at all times.
- Interview for open positions as needed.
- Ensure team members receive appropriate programs to develop technical and leadership skills, fostering personal growth and development of subordinates.
- Administer the company safety program and take timely corrective action to prevent injury and destruction of company property.
- Assist other teams to complete special projects or time‑sensitive tasks as needed.
- Perform all duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a business‑related environment.
- Strong computer skills required; working knowledge of SAP preferred; intermediate knowledge of MS Excel preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills required.
- Excellent project management skills and experience managing large projects required.
- Must be able to prioritize work.
- Must be able to work accurately and safely under pressure.
- Overtime and weekend hours may be required.
- Fluency in Spanish highly preferred to support a diverse working environment.
Salary range: $58,656.00 – $. Pay is determined based on experience and other job‑related factors, and may differ across markets.
