Security Officer – Tech Supplier Headquarters, Melville, NY

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.36 / Hour

Job Schedule: Friday 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM, Saturday 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM.

• Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities for a dynamic technology‑focused location.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and report security‑related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as directed by post orders, while observing for unusual activity and/or facility issues.
• Support employees, visitors, and contractors with directions, badging processes, and other access‑related questions while maintaining a professional presence at assigned posts.

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license as required by Allied Universal driver policy.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Subject to background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Considered qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
