Warehouse Technician, R&D Warehouse Operations

** Description*
* JOB SUMMARY:

To provide R&D Warehouse labor support to effectively meet the daily objectives of the R&D Warehouse Operations.

PRINCIPAL

ACCOUNTABILITIES :

+ Retrieve chemicals, supplies, and mass from the warehouse as required from a picklist and move them to their corresponding locations.

+ Transfer chemicals, equipment and supplies from Shipping & Receiving Loading dock and store into the appropriate storage locations in the warehouse.

+ Re-weigh and return unused material back to inventory.

+ Maintain accurate storage locations for all chemicals and supplies in inventory.

+ Retrieve and discard expiring materials from warehouse as directed by Supervisor.

+ Provide back-up support to other warehouse operations functions when necessary. These functions include but not limited to:
Raw material pre-weighing, breakdowns, assembly / delivery, inventory movement, shipping & receiving activities.

+ Responsible for maintaining a clean work area and assisting with general housekeeping of the warehouse.

+ Responsible for following all guidelines and standard operating procedures for safe and proper handling of chemicals, mass, components for GMP and safety compliance.

+ Other duties/projects as assigned by management.

MACHINES/INSTRUMENTS USED:

Hi-Lo, Order Picker, Dock Transporter, Hand-Held Scanner, Personal Computer, Hand Truck, Telephone, Calculator.

* ** JOB REQUIREMENTS/

QUALIFICATIONS:

* + 2+ years' experience preferred

+ High School graduate or equivalent

+ Excellent communication skills required; must be able to read and write English.

+ Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Individual will be required to continually lift and transfer 5 to 55-gallon containers weighing 20kg to 250kg.

+ Must be able to handle 55gal / 200kg drums.

+ Must handle hazardous raw materials (flammable, combustible, acids, bases, corrosive, etc...)

+ Must handle containers of hazardous waste properly.

+ Must demonstrate ability to operate material handling equipment in a safe and proficient manner

+ Individual must be able to rotate between 2 warehouse locations

+ Must possess strong work ethics and be self-motivated.

+ Individual must be able to multitask and have the ability focus on executing priorities as directed by the area Supervisor.

+ Individual must be very detailed oriented.

+ Individual must possess excellent time management skills.

+ Individual must be able to work well with others and demonstrate excellent customer services skills.

+ Must be able to operate a personal computer, handheld scanner and possess learning agility skills.

+ Must maintain a good attendance and safety record

+ Must be trained in use of: RDS, SC Logics and Excel.

+ Must maintain a current Hilo and Transporter license.

+ Individual will be required to learn and adhere to GMP Compliance requirements
