The Technician I Preweigh uses the Pre-weigh Locator system to identify raw materials and assembles weighed chemicals for production jobs through assembly computer systems and radio frequency controllers. Responsibilities include printing chemical container labels, verifying assembly accuracy within the Pre-weigh system, and transporting completed jobs to designated locations using Shop Floor reports. The role also requires the safe operation of material handling equipment, such as transporters, hi-los, and forklifts, for the movement of chemicals and materials throughout the facility.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.
- Regular use of material handling equipment and workplace tools is required, including hi-los, transporters, forklifts, personal computers, and calculators.
Candidates must have completed classroom training for material handling equipment and possess a valid in-house material handling license. Strong English reading and writing skills are required, along with basic mathematical abilities, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using a calculator. Familiarity with metric weights and measures is essential.
The role requires adherence to and communication of safety regulations, as well as the ability to work safely without posing a risk to oneself or others. Candidates must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in environments that may be dusty, oily, and noisy. Experience handling and transporting chemicals is required.
Applicants should be flexible to work various shifts, overtime as needed, and maintain a strong attendance and punctuality record. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of six months of Pre-Weigh experience.
Pay RangeThe anticipated hourly range for this position is $19.00 to $29.00. Exact hourly rate depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Hourly range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program.
