Job Description

Do you enjoy working with industrial machinery, working with your hands, and finding solutions? Are you looking to join a growing team and leader within the steel industry that is family and woman owned? Mill Steel would love to meet you! As a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician, you will perform maintenance and repairs on our equipment while also being a part of a company that is currently expanding into new markets and products.

We are looking for team members like you who can troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment. The ideal candidate for this position will have a great sense of humor, have good communication skills, and have the drive to keep our equipment in good operating condition.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Moderately complex work requiring attention to detail to properly dismantle, repair, lubricate, and reassemble machinery.
  • General maintenance duties in varied capacities, such as machine repair, electrician, pipefitter, plumber, millwright, welder & burner, and electronic technician.
  • Start, observe, operate, or activate equipment to detect or verify malfunction or correction.
  • Inspect, adjust, clean, or lubricate equipment as preventative maintenance.
  • Tear down, replace, install, and assemble simple equipment, parts, components, and accessories.
  • Adjust equipment or system mechanisms.
  • Operate forklifts, man lift, and cranes as needed.
  • Submit work orders as needed.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Perform all other duties as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience required.
  • A minimum of 1 year manufacturing or industrial setting maintenance required.
  • Familiar with troubleshooting and repair of equipment or machines preferred.
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred.
  • People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply.
