Accounting Manager

Position Overview

Vaco is assisting its manufacturing client in its search for an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager plays an integral role in ensuring accurate accounting and reporting in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Financial Reporting, as well as providing financial decision-making support. They will manage the accounting department and all related daily accounting tasks, perform and review financial transactions and post them to the general ledger, and review journal entries for posting to the general ledger.

They will also carry out relevant administrative duties (e.g., responding to vendors/customers via email and handling source documentation). The position requires fastidious organization, administration, oral communication, and written skills. Must be timely, champion priorities and dynamics, and be extremely agile and consistent. Must enjoy and thrive in a fast-moving, high-energy, constantly evolving environment. Candidate should be able to support or lead projects and have an inherent need for completion of projects and tasks.

• Financial Reporting:
  Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide insights into the company's financial health.
• Financial Management:
  Manage the company's financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial planning.
• Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables Duties
• Compliance:
  Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial laws, and oversee internal and external audits.
• Budget Management:
  Develop and manage the company's budget, tracking expenses and revenue, and providing financial guidance.
• Cash Flow Management:
  Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure financial stability and support daily operations.
• Team Management:
  Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Process Improvement:
  Identify and implement improvements in financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Financial Analysis:
  Conduct financial analysis, including cost analysis, forecasting, and trend analysis, to support decision-making.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).
• 8 plus years' experience in accounting.
• Proven experience in accounting and financial management, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial analysis tools.
• Knowledge of the manufacturing industry and cost accounting is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.

• Manufacturing Experience
• Working Knowledge of SAP
• Experience with consolidation across multiple legal entities
• Experience with foreign entities/transactions

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
