Project Accountant

As a Project Accountant 2 at HDR, you will manage financial aspects of multiple projects, ensuring accurate invoicing, budgeting, and billing processes.

• Prepare client invoices, track project budgets, and code and process project A/P for multiple projects.
• Conduct accurate contract documentation, administration and maintenance, including fee and budget entry in the project accounting system.
• Coordinate project accounting system within the department and work with staff to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Assist multiple project managers and staff on a daily basis.
• Perform other duties as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Local candidates preferred.

• Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience; an advanced degree may offset years of experience.
• Familiar with Earned Value Management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skills.
• Flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and collaborate with various managers in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook.
