Vaco is assisting its manufacturing client in its search for a Site Controller.
Position SummaryThe Controller is responsible for the management, direction, and operation of a combination of general accounting activities including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Payroll, and related functions.
Responsibilities- Supervise and direct general accounting activities to ensure generally accepted accounting principles are followed in the preparation and presentation of financial reports.
- Establish or recommend major economic objectives, policies for the company, and financial modeling for various business scenarios.
- Compile and analyze data, prepare forecasts, cash flow data, and regular and special reports as requested.
- Provide specialized or general analysis support in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Cost Accounting, Property Accounting, and General Accounting.
- Oversee preparation of budgets.
- Advise management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.
- Advise management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions.
- Arrange audits of company accounts.
- Compile composite reports from individual reports of subordinates required by management or government agencies.
- Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
- Prepare financial statements, reports covering sales, earnings, cash balances and other financial results.
- Plan and direct the development, implementation, and operation of accounting systems and procedures to reduce costs and obtain improved information.
- Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting.
- Minimum of eight years of increasingly responsible accounting positions with at least five years’ experience with auditing and cost accounting.
Individual may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits, as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan. The salary range for this position is provided to comply with local law.
