Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist is a key member of the Merchandise Accounting Team. This is a research-based role that is crucial in identifying duplicate payments, performing unclaimed property research, processing credits timely, and supporting payment cycles. The ideal candidate is focused on results, is detail oriented, and a team player.

• Pay cycle process support, including duplicate checks, invoice review, and business outreach.
• Timely credit memo tracking and processing to mitigate risk of duplicate payments.
• Unclaimed property research and coordination with tax deadlines, documenting research and results.
• Lead on quarterly access control support documentation, coordinating approvals with partners and audit.
• Quarterly duplicate payment reporting and metric publication.
• Other research as needed.

• 2-3 years of recent experience in Accounts Payable.
• High School Diploma/GED (Associate’s Degree preferred).
• Competent with mainframe and ERP computer systems.
• Proven ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Basic to intermediate Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to learn and understand new software systems.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

• Experience with SAP S/4
  
  HANA and People Soft.
