Accounting Manager; SAP ECC - Memphis, TN

Mission Hires is partnering with a well‑established, rapidly growing corporation in Memphis to hire an Accounting Manager with strong SAP ECC experience. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this role leads financial reporting, AP/AR, compliance, budgeting, cash flow, and team leadership. Compensation up to $140,000 base plus 10% bonus.

• Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements, reports, and budgets
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including AP, AR, payroll, and planning
• Manage Accounts Payable: review accuracy, process monthly close, approve weekly expense reports, forecast purchasing/inventory, maintain vendor files, manage credit holds, and resolve vendor disputes
• Manage Accounts Receivable: partner with Sales and Customer Accounts to project monthly cash flow, enter invoices, create statements, process deposits, manage collections, review accuracy, process monthly close, provide credit references, and maintain customer files and reseller permits
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP, tax regulations, and support internal/external audits
• Develop, manage, and track budgets; provide financial guidance to leadership
• Monitor and optimize cash flow and liquidity to support operations
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering collaboration
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Conduct financial analysis, including cost analysis, forecasting, and trend analysis to support decision-making

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred)
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 3–5+ years in an accounting management/leadership role
• Hands‑on SAP ECC experience in core accounting processes (AP/AR, GL, month‑end close)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, tax laws, and regulatory compliance
• Proven experience with monthly accounting period close for AP & AR
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
• Experience supporting audits (internal and external)
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with cross‑functional partners
• Proficiency with accounting software and financial analysis tools
