Accounting Intern — Hands-On Finance

Barnhart is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in core accounting functions while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.

• Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, including billing and invoice processing
• Support timesheet entry and general financial data management
• Maintain organized electronic filing systems and documentation
• Provide administrative support and assist with ad hoc analysis and special projects
• Collaborate with team members and provide coverage during absences as required
• Contribute to maintaining an organized, secure, and efficient work environment

• Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Highly organized, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
