We are looking for an experienced financial professional to join our company as Residential Business Accountant. As a member of our construction finance team, you will manage company ledgers, payroll, accounts payable, customer billings, general accounting, and reporting. Our ideal candidate has significant prior accounting experience; knowledge of Quick Books Online and Job Tread project management software; and experience working with financial and operational management.
Full time position (on location) – Reports to Controller
Job Experience Required- Accounting, 3-5 years of related experience
- Proficient skills in Quick Books Online and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in a construction office environment
- Experience with Job Tread project management software
- Associates degree, accounting or business degree
The ideal candidate will be solid at multi-tasking, organization, and communication. Position will be committed to daily financial transactions, monthly financial and operational reporting, and administration/business office support.
Assists Controller in the following areas:
- Performing all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, data entry, and processing payments
- Assisting with processing payroll including construction related job costs
- Assisting in client billing utilizing Quick Books and Job Tread project management software
- Bi-weekly timesheet analysis and reporting
- Reconciling bank statements and credit accounts
- Month-end financial close through Quick Books Online
- Preparing financial & operations reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data
- Assisting with HR procedures for employees including maintaining files and onboarding training
- Collaboration with office staff and project managers for job reporting
- Completing special projects as assigned
Starts at $60,000 and depends on experience. Compensation is regularly reviewed to ensure competitiveness and alignment with growth and contributions. Position eligible for company discretionary bonus program.
