Role SummaryITONYX is seeking a highly organized, detail‑oriented, and hands‑on Senior Accountant to serve as the Company's lead accounting professional. This role is responsible for all accounting operations, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, tax compliance, payroll oversight, cash management, procurement support, inventory accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement. This role reports directly to the CEO. Federal income tax and state excise tax preparation and filing are handled by the Company's outside CPA firm, and tax planning and strategy are led by the CFO;
the Senior Accountant supports both with accurate financial data and reporting.
- Maintain the general ledger, bookkeeping, financial records, journal entries, reconciliations, AP, AR, collections, and customer account reconciliations.
- Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes and prepare financial statements, management reports, and analyses.
- Prepare and file gross sales tax returns.
- Review payroll, benefits deductions, PTO accruals, and payroll‑related accounting entries.
- Prepare, file, and sign quarterly Form 941 and annual Form 940 payroll tax filings.
- Provide 1099 reporting and coordinate with the Company's outside CPA firm to support federal income tax and state excise tax preparation and filing, and support the CFO with data and analysis for tax planning and strategy.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, KPI reporting, profitability analysis, and executive dashboards.
- Monitor cash balances, banking relationships, and treasury activities.
- Place, track, and audit purchase orders, sales orders, inventory transactions, vendor relationships, and procurement activities.
- Establish and maintain accurate fixed asset records and depreciation schedules, along with leases, subscriptions, and recurring contracts.
- Develop SOPs, strengthen internal controls, manage ERP and Quick Books Online systems, and implement process improvements and automation.
- Lead business insurance renewals and work closely with HR on benefits‑related insurance renewals.
- Support executive leadership with financial insight, operational initiatives, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations experience.
- Advanced Quick Books Online and Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Experience with financial reporting, tax compliance, budgeting, forecasting, payroll oversight, purchasing, inventory management, and internal controls.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
