Staff Accountant | Hilton The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Hilton, located in Memphis, TN. This role is a critical part of the Finance Team, acting as a business partner that manages global financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management.
As a Staff Accountant, you will be essential in completing monthly closing and post-closing activities for the US hotels.

- Team: RTR US Hotel Accounting team, reporting to the Manager, Hotel Accounting
- Mission:
Own monthly closing and post-closing activities to ensure accurate financial performance and accounting. - Tech Stack:
Microsoft Excel

Activities:
Perform end-of-month closing activities, including assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and processing wire transfers. - Post-Closing
Activities:
Execute post-Closing tasks such as compiling data and supporting documentation for journal entries. - Third-Party Coordination:
Partner with external service providers, including outsourcing providers and auditors, to ensure all important information is captured. - Goal Alignment:
Collaborate with your manager to establish specific goals and plans, prioritizing project and department objectives. - Process Development:
Help with various accounting tasks while gaining an understanding of current processes to further your knowledge and advance within the organization.
- Background:
Entry-Level. Foundational knowledge of business mathematics, including calculating percentage changes and averages/weighted averages. - Experience:
One (1) year of work experience or internship in a corporate or business environment. - Skills:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including understanding and manipulating spreadsheets. - Bonus:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance;
One (1) year of relevant analytical, accounting, or finance work experience.
