Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support core accounting operations and help maintain the accuracy of financial records for our Tennessee team. This role is well suited for an organized accountant who can manage close activities, analyze account activity, and ensure transactions are recorded in a timely and compliant manner. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge and a disciplined approach to reconciliations, reporting, and ledger integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly closing activities by preparing schedules, reviewing balances, and helping ensure financial results are completed on time.
• Prepare and record journal entries with supporting documentation to maintain accurate accounting records.
• Manage general ledger activity by reviewing transactions, researching variances, and correcting discrepancies when needed.
• Perform account reconciliations on a recurring basis to confirm balances are complete, accurate, and properly supported.
• Complete bank reconciliations by matching account activity, identifying outstanding items, and resolving differences promptly.
• Assist with financial reporting processes by organizing accounting data and supporting the preparation of period-end deliverables.
• Investigate unusual account fluctuations and work with internal stakeholders to clarify and resolve accounting issues.
• Help maintain strong accounting controls and consistent documentation across daily and month-end processes.
