Staff Accountant | Hilton The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Hilton, located in Memphis, TN. Hilton is a global leader in hospitality, dedicated to building an exceptional workplace for its Team Members while delivering world-class experiences for guests. This position is a critical part of the Finance Team, which serves as a business partner managing global activities related to financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management.
The Staff Accountant plays a key role in completing essential monthly closing and post-closing activities for US hotel accounting.

- Team: RTR US Hotel Accounting team, reporting to the Manager, Hotel Accounting
- Mission:
Focus on completing monthly closing and post-closing activities for US hotel accounting. - Tech Stack:
Microsoft Excel
- Month-End Close:
Perform end-of-month closing activities, including assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and wire transfers. - Post-Closing
Activities:
Conduct post-closing activities such as compiling data and supporting documentation for journal entries. - External Partnerships:
Partner with third-party service providers, including outsourcing providers and auditors, to ensure all important information is captured. - Goal Setting:
Collaborate with your manager to establish specific goals and plans that prioritize project and department objectives. - Relationship Building:
Develop positive and cross-collaborative relationships with various finance and corporate departments.
- Background:
Entry-Level. One (1) year of work experience or an internship in a corporate or business environment is required. - Experience:
Demonstrable knowledge of business mathematics, including the ability to calculate percentage changes and averages/weighted averages. - Skills:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including proficiency in understanding and manipulating spreadsheets. - Bonus: A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or one (1) year of relevant analytical, accounting, or finance work experience would be useful.
