Job Description:
Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility:
To provide professional courteous service to all persons having transactions with the Business Office. The ability to balance a cash drawer on a daily basis.
Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Provide front counter service to students, parents and personnel ensuring prompt, courteous, and professional service
- Receipt monies brought into the Business Office
- Answer telephone calls and emails
- Assist in processing student billing statements
- Prepare all departmental and third-party invoices
- Coordinate student account information with other offices:
Financial Aid, Registrar, Housing, Admissions, etc. - Process miscellaneous deposits and petty cash payments
- Review student refund lists
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:Minimum Qualifications
Education, Experience and Knowledge:
- Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; some college
- Excellent organizational, communication, relational and team skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize
- Must have strong computer skills
- Experience dealing with the public and handling cash
Preferred Credentials
- Cashiering experience
- Some accounting knowledge
- Knowledge of Banner ?
Physical Requirements:
- Work requires the physical demands of seeing, touching, standing, bending, lifting, stooping or performing other work requiring light physical exertion; frequent walking; or moderate physical exertion.
