Valero Employees at the Memphis Refinery are needed for administrative support for senior executives (typically VP level or above).
Key Responsibilities- Answer, screen, and direct telephone calls, creating a positive impression with callers and arranging conference calls.
- Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including email and faxes.
- Prepare routine correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Conduct research and compile statistical reports.
- Make copies of correspondence or other printed materials.
- Organize and maintain the file system, and file correspondence and records of a confidential nature.
- Organize and expedite the flow of work through the manager’s office.
- Schedule appointments and make arrangements for meetings and conferences, which may include preparing agendas, reserving and preparing facilities, and recording and transcribing minutes of meetings.
- Arrange and coordinate travel schedules and reservations.
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate area or person.
- Process invoices and requisitions.
- Monitor and reconcile controllable expenses.
- Order and maintain supplies and arrange for equipment maintenance.
This position is salaried nonexempt status, which means the employee is eligible for overtime pay.
Qualifications- Ability and willingness to work on-site, in‑person at the Valero Memphis Refinery.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5 years of experience providing administrative support for corporate executives.
- Associate’s or higher level degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in the refining/petroleum industry.

All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential). The employee must wear the card at all times while working at the refinery.
CompensationPosition level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
