Apply nowThe Program Coordinator contributes to the success of the after-school care and summer camp programs under the Executive Director's guidance and leadership. This collaborative approach enhances overall efficiency, effectiveness, and the quality of the programs provided to children and families. The Program Coordinator is responsible for planning and organizing engaging after-school and summer camp activities that foster a positive program culture and align with the school’s mission and student needs.
This role includes coordinating daily operations, staff schedules, activity rotations, and special events to ensure smooth and efficient program delivery. The Coordinator also creates promotional and marketing materials, including flyers, announcements, and social media content, to communicate with families and increase program enrollment. Additional responsibilities include managing attendance, dismissal, invoicing, and recordkeeping; supporting staff collaboration and cross-training; assisting program leadership under the Executive Director’s guidance;
and ensuring participant safety, regulatory compliance, and emergency preparedness.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or higher and experience in a school-based program, summer camp, aftercare, or youth enrichment setting. Candidates must be proficient in Canva and have working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Drive, Calendar) and email platforms, as well as the ability to learn and effectively use new technology systems to support program operations and communication. The role requires experience managing program logistics, including scheduling, staffing, registration, and daily operations, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Candidates must be able to work independently while collaborating with school personnel, community partners, and program teams, thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and maintain flexibility in their work hours as needed.
