Service Administrator Job Description

The service administrator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the work order for the service department. The person in this position reports to the Parts & Service Manager.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinating with the service technicians and service manager on the completion of work orders.
• Answering the telephone and taking service calls, also backup to the parts department.
• Opening repair orders and processing those repair orders to the completion of billing.
• Posting the technicians labor hours to the repair orders.
• Scheduling the planned maintenance contracts.
• Processing manufacturer's warranty claims.
• Putting together billing for work completed.
• Reviewing timecards for service employees.
• Assisting the Parts manager with clerical functions required.
• Closing parts orders.

Qualifications and

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in material handling or another related industry in the area of parts and service product support.
• Proven customer communication skills, with the ability to handle calls from customers with issues.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Preferred

Skills:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
