Arranging transportation for goods to ensure prompt pickup and delivery to meet customer demand. Perform administrative functions assigned to the warehouse operation. Assist warehouse management in coordinating activities necessary to meet the desired level of performance.
Primary Responsibilities- Create waves of orders based on order type and level of service needed.
- Works closely with customer reps from all sales departments to ensure customer routing, packaging, and labeling requirements are met.
- Print EDI, carton, and item labels for orders required.
- Request for routing in accordance with customer/vendor-specific compliance, schedule pick-ups, and procure shipment quotes upon request or as needed.
- Arrange and maintain all routing information.
- Assist with customer service with carrier issues such as lost freight, requests for shipping documents, and provide information to resolve billing issues.
- Coordinate with customer service and shipping department to ensure compliance.
- Manage and perform administrative functions as assigned by management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
- High school graduate.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in shipping, routing, customer portals, and customer billing.
- Able to work flexible hours when needed, including overtime.
- Strong organizational skills to deal with a large volume of work.
- Attention to detail.
- Effective time management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Problem-solving ability based on facts and knowledge.
- Proficient in 10-key and data entry.
- PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Required to read, write, and speak English fluently.
