Overview
POSITION SUMMARY
:
The Product Development Assistant is responsible for partnering with the Product Managers to ensure the fluidity of the product development/ product management process. The position coordinates daily activities within assigned Product Manager’s responsibilities and serves as a resource among other Product Managers as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinating, completing, and submitting with Product Managers and cross functional departments all new item set ups, item maintenance, production planning, and assembly availability
- Coordinating, completing, and submitting all new Supplier Set Up requests
- Work closely with Marketing and Product Data on the distribution of New Product Releases, training, and resource literature
- Managing detailed physical and digital sample library
- Provide reporting as needed by Product Managers (Excel, Queries, PHOCAS, P21)
- Product specification review – measuring, photographing, documenting counter samples and status of all incoming / outbound samples prior to production
- Working with graphic designer on tech packs, rework labeling, standard label requests, etc.
- Initiating Project Management process from concept approval by tracking internal flow (Wrike)
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- 3+ years product and/or project development experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be a self-starter with demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, and interpret general product measurements, standards, specifications
- Ability to communicate clear, concise messages regarding reporting, business correspondence, and procedures with excellent live and pre-recorded presentation skills
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Windows
- Experience with Gerber, Adobe Creative suite, and/ or Style Cad preferred
- Willingness to learn and grow as position evolves
