You’ll be responsible for knowing and acting in accordance with Barrett’s vision to WOW our customers, partners, and fellow employees with every interaction.

The Wave Planner, reporting to the Senior Wave Planner/SR Ops/Operations Manager, is responsible for releasing work to the floor and tracking the progress of waves in order to meet business needs.

Schedule:

7:00 am – 3:45 pm, Monday‑Friday.

Compensation: $18.50 /hr.

• Assist in developing, analyzing, modifying, and executing the Wave Plan so that ship schedules are met for all customers while maintaining a balanced workload across shifts.
• Prioritize the daily schedule and create reports to monitor, track, and measure performance at all levels.
• Assist with the management of pick tickets by printing and issuing them to the specified departments.
• Collaborate and work closely with Operations teams to ensure the completion of replenishment and release orders to the warehouse floor.
• Communicate clearly with internal/external partners; identify key issues and collaborate with operations management to determine a resolution.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement projects and safety programs.
• Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of systems and recommend changes where appropriate.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to two years’ experience in a related field required; experience in warehouse operations, customer service, or inventory control clerk preferred.
• One year of Wave Planning experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of WMS preferred.
• Ability to apply and utilize analytical tools to determine decisions based on customer expectations.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft business applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (bilingual Spanish/English a plus).
• Basic math skills – add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Experience that demonstrates the ability to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines. Strong emphasis on organizational skills and attention to detail.
