Program Design Analyst PRIMARY PURPOSE
To coordinate new and/or renewal business pricing process and identify program trends impacting pricing; to provide support to operational directors, program and office managers in development of program pricing and design; to provide support for program implementations and department initiatives; and to review contracts and provide billing instructions to billing group.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES- Designs and prices new clients and prospective new business/rounding opportunities as assigned.
- Assists in the design and pricing of client renewals; supports operations in renewal development.
- Works closely with other departments as appropriate; communicates often with program managers, operations manager, managing departments and legal department.
- Assists program implementations.
- Generates ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested by management.
- Compiles and analyzes financial data and makes recommendations for improved data capturing and analytics.
- Assists in evaluation, development and enhancement of various pricing models.
- Provides superior customer service and support to business/management strategies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supports the organization's quality program(s).
- Travels as required.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred. Major in business field preferred.
ExperienceSix (6) years of financial analysis experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required with claims management experience preferred.
Skills & Knowledge- Knowledge of claims management in workers' compensation, liability and disability business lines
- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
- Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
- Strong analytical and interpretive skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure in deadline intensive environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
