POSITION SUMMARY
The Account Manager works with customers to coordinate the development and launch of new soap products. The Account Manager pulls all aspects together, from formulation to packaging, working closely with our Sales, Technical, Quality and Manufacturing teams. The Account Manager manages new product launches and acts as customer's liaison, tracking orders from receipt through the shipping process.
The Vanguard manufacturing campus is a 14-acre site producing 40-50 million pounds of product annually with over 100 employees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Primary day-to-day contact with assigned customers and maintain positive ongoing relationships and establish buying cycles, customer needs, and create a customer supplier relationship
- Leverage market data to quickly respond to new developments in the customer's business
- Responsible for service and support of managed inventory tasks to drive results.
- Understand Vanguard's Value Proposition and can clearly articulate to customers, providing solutions to grow profitable sales
- Communicate in an organized, clear and concise manner to effectively express ideas, plans, actions, and projects to support customer needs
- Develop and implement account penetration strategies to include customer business reviews
- Document, analyze, and understand impact of customer-focused activities to increase productivity and sales within assigned customers/markets
- Serve as the primary contact for on-boarding, training, and support for Program Associates
- Planning & executing new product launches-before, during, and after launch
- Monthly collection of KPI information for management reviews and customer business reviews
- Manage multiple projects while interfacing with different internal and external contacts
- Mentor and coach Program/Account Associates
- Develops and execute strategies for targeted growth while holding self and team accountable.
- Experience in working with complex, multi-divisional, multi-geographical customers
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g. Sales, Product, Marketing, Services)
- Strong presence with exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)
- Knowledge of Supply Chain is a plus
- Exceptional communication skills, highly organized, collaborative and detail oriented
- Strong attention to detail is a must
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems in a structured manner
- 3-5 years of experience in account management, program management, sales, customer service, or another client-facing role
- Bachelor's degree required. Preferred majors:
Business, Economics, Sales, Marketing or equivalent.
